The museum, opened to the public on June 26, 2021, features more than 20,000 artifacts linked to animation and cartoons, such as original drafts, scripts, historical materials, logs, and models. It aims to present and interpret the 100-year history and broad prospects of the Chinese animation industry.
In addition to exhibition halls, theaters, cinemas, libraries, audio-visual rooms, and e-sports rooms have been built in the China Cartoon and Animation Museum to better serve the museum’s purposes in public education and cultural services.
To better engage the public, the museum will also hold various events, including stage performances, cosplay activities, e-sports competitions, and educational programs.
